A Beta carotene is specifically developed for breeding rabbits and stallions. Essential nutrient Beta-carotene is a precursor of vitamin A, which has a positive effect on fertility. It is involved in the production of the pregnancy hormone (progesterone), a hormone produced in the corpus luteum and responsible for the healthy estrus of the mare.
The mares should be fed for 6 weeks before mating and then for another 6 weeks before calving. It helps prevent abortion in mares and protects the colostrum. The high levels of beta-carotene and vitamin A in colostrum and milk help to protect the foal from infection and improve its resistance. Furthermore, vitamins A and E together have a positive effect on progesterone hormone levels.
From Vitamin E is essential for the mare to be fertile. Vitamin E deficiency can lead to calving difficulties.

In the case of livestock kept in stalls and during winter feeding, the amount of essential vitamins and trace elements in the feed may fall below the normal requirement. Vitamin deficiencies can often lead to milking or pregnancy problems. These vitamins occur freely in nature, mainly in fresh grass. Their deficiencies are most common in horses that have little or no access to pasture.
