Description

EQI® Protector is recommended immediately after farrowing when the foal has not absorbed sufficient colostrum (in case of illness, loss of foal, premature or twin pregnancy), to support the foal during weaning and in case of mild digestive tract disorders. EQI® Protector is recommended for vaccination, worming, feed changes, transportation, mild digestive problems, poor general condition and during convalescence.

The EQI® Protector supplementary feed in the form of a paste to ensure safe and selective intake of nutrients.

Mechanism of action
Passive immunity in newborn foals declines over time, while active immunity gradually develops. During the transition from passive immunity to self immunity, immune deficiencies occur, which present a number of challenges for young animals. Colostrum provides specific immunoglobulins that are essential for the development of passive immunity.

In adult horses and ponies, stress, diseases and vaccinations can temporarily weaken the immune system. EQI® Protector provides vital immunoglobulins and nutrients to foals immediately after calving and to weakened horses when needed.

TechnoMos® prebiotic stimulates active immunity. It helps to eliminate pathogens from the intestine by binding them to the intestinal mucosa and preventing them from adhering to the intestinal mucosa and multiplying.

B.I.O.Key® zinc completes the immunostimulant effect. The organically bound zinc chelate protects the intestinal mucosa from damage and ensures efficient absorption of available vitamins.

Medium-chain triglycerides provide a highly bioavailable source of energy, preventing hypoglycaemia and starvation-induced debility.

Active ingredients 

Recommended dosage: For foals: 32 ml should be administered orally after the first colostrum intake. In weakened foals, repeat the dose within 24 hours.
For horses: For weakened horses after vaccination, worming or feed changes, in case of mild digestive problems. Repeat as necessary.
