INFORMATION - THE COUGH
Coughing is a physiological process that clears the throat and airways of foreign particles, fluids and irritants. Coughing can be caused by allergies, mucus or dirt. In addition to relieving cough, it is essential to find the cause of the cough.
Horseradish asthma results from hypersensitivity reactions to inhaled irritants, allergens, endotoxins and non-allergic overreactions of the respiratory tract. Its symptoms are due to bronchospasm and accumulation of airway secretions, which cause constriction of the airways and often accelerated, rapid breathing.
When allergens enter the airways, they irritate cells and cause mucus secretion, which triggers coughing. In the long term, the disease can severely affect the respiratory tract, damage the cardiovascular system, lead to reduced performance and a decrease in the horse's quality of life.
